- Be kind to the dealer and to other players. Good karma brings good cards.
- It is each player's responsibility to follow the flow of the game.
- Keep your cards and chips on the poker table and in plain view and keep your big chips out front.
- Protect your cards so that no one else can see them.
- Keep your cards on the table. Holding cards against your shirt or putting them in your pocket or lap is not allowed.
- Verbally announce your action, particularly in games with non-professional dealers.
- Never touch another player's cards or chips.
- Do not expose any cards until the showdown.
- Do not place anything on the poker table except your cards, your chips, and your drink.
- Manage your table space reasonably.
- Players who are all-in must reveal their hands when no further action is possible.
- A player who shows one card must show both cards.
- Never reveal another player's mucked cards!
- Do not comment about the cards you just threw away.
- Do not 'read' the board possibilities out loud. Example - "A flush is now possible".
- No rabbit-hunting (seeing what the next card(s) would have been).
- Talk is permitted. Players not in the hand should refrain from influencing the play.
- Do not deliberately act out of turn.
- Needlessly stalling the action of a game.
- Chips and/or money on the table are not to be transferred from one player to another.
- Limit unnecessary chatter to avoid disturbing active players.
- No speaking on a phone at the table.
- If you step away from the table, please advise the dealer of your intentions.
- Be modest when you win.
